How to get to Isla Cozumel, Mexico

Today we leave Cancun for another island paradise in Mexico - Isla Cozumel. Isla Cozumel is a mostly undeveloped island off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is a 3-4hr bus + ferry ride from Cancun, passing through Playa del Carmen. Despite being so difficult to get to normally, we found ourselves surrounded by tourists (as is common in the entire Yucatan region) because the island is a popular dock for large cruise ships.
